Smiles and showers at HockeyFest

Caradon Hockey Club held their first ever HockeyFest event at the weekend, and despite weather several extremes of glorious sunshine to torrential downpours during the two hour event, it had a great turnout of current and potential new club members who kept smiling despite the showers!
Organised as part of England Hockey's initiative to introduce or re-introduce people to the sport, this was the final weekend of HockeyFest events which have been taking place at clubs throughout the country over the summer. Caradon took the opportunity for it to kick start their 10th anniversary celebrations with fun and games and lots of goodies, kindly donated by England Hockey, including for a few minutes of the day - useful free sunglasses!
With music, games and tasks such as keepy uppies, scoring points through the HockeyFest hole in the goal and also the popular 'Goal or No Goal' competition which put some of Caradon's senior men up against goalie Dan Harris, the attendees of varying age ranges enjoyed the free event put on by their local club.
