A huge thank you also goes to the dedicated club umpires, without whom the game would not be able to be played. They give their time and expertise each week and the club are proud to have them as a part of the team. This year, Caradon Hockey Club also introduced a Young Umpire Award Programme to aid the progression for young players to begin their umpiring journey. It has been asked that this programme, led by Clare Poad with the help of Caradon club umpires, is now rolled out across Cornwall for other young players to get involved in umpiring. Caradon Hockey Club are leading the way once again.
