Returning to hockey - Covid advice
Posted by Helen Manley on 25 September 2020
As pre-season friendlies begin and we look forward to the league starting on the 24th October, Caradon have already had recommendations put in place for being Covid safe for training and games.
EJ Mullis is our Covid Officer and should be contacted if you have any questions or concerns: 07769 563362
We have Track and Trace forms set up for our players to complete every time they attend training and play either home or away games. This can be found on the members only Facebook page.
England Hockey have been providing advice and guidance on how to stay safe before, during and after matches and training with the following video and infographic. For further details, visit their Club Support specific page: England Hockey Covid-19 Club Support

In terms of games now starting up, please remember the following especially:
- Transport: should be limited if at all possible. If it is not possible, the same group of people should share the car, wear masks and open windows for ventilation.
- In game play: Socially distanced team talks throughout the match, socially distanced decisions on penalty corner routines and also players defending penalty corners to go behind the goal line at the last minute to reduce time spent in close contact. Do not celebrate goals with your fellow players.
- Spectators are currently allowed but must be in groups of no more than 6 and are required to socially distance at all times. They are not required to sign track and trace or EH participation. NO spectators are permitted onto the pitch.
