Keeping Busy During The Lockdown!

Despite a hold on the remainder of the hockey season, Caradon HC are raising spirits, smiles and club funds in unique ways during the lockdown!
Players sent in their videos following a post by England Hockey, passing a toilet roll along the team as we all practised at home, in gardens and those still at work. We even had our umpire Glayne start the game officially.....and end it with a dropped toilet roll = green card offence!
You can view our efforts here: Caradon v Isolation
Unfortunately a few of our planned club fundraising events had to be postponed, but that didn't stop the Gliddon family helping to raise over £200 as Emma shaved her dad Steve's hair off! And to prove it happened, they broadcast it live in a Facebook stream!....he even ended up losing his eyebrows after a particular bid/dare from a family member :)
The current toal stands at £238, if you'd like to belated sponsor Steve you can at Steve's Shave - if you missed the broadcast you can still view it on our public Caradon Hockey Facebook page.
Teams are also 'meeting up' through the power of House Party, Zoom, Whatsapp etc to look out for each other and keep spirits high during these unpredictable times. Being part of a team and club means so much to everyone at Caradon and now more than ever, although we are apart we need to 'stick' together!
