End of Season Evening 2018/19

Caradon Hockey Club held our End of Season Presentation Evening last Saturday at the China Fleet Club, Saltash, as we celebrated the year’s achievements.
Over 120 club members and partners enjoyed a two course dinner followed by Captain’s speeches and awarding of trophies by the Club’s President Jan Woodman. It follows another successful season, with both Caradon Men’s teams winning promotion as champions and all ladies teams also improving their points and or final standings from last year.
Awards, voted for by players, were given out to worthy winners with Clare Poad being awarded both the Committee Cup and Club Person of the Year for her notable years of brilliant and enthusiastic coaching with the junior section of Caradon, whose numbers and achievements grow year on year.
The Club continues to go from strength to strength with a third men’s team being introduced when the season starts again in September. But the hockey doesn’t stop for the summer as a number of teams are entered into the Mixed Plymouth Summer League which takes place week nights at various Plymouth pitches.
The Club will also be out in full supportive force this weekend as the ladies third team play in the County Plate Final against Falmouth 2s in Penzance, topping their incredible season.
