10-4-10 #YourWorldCup Festival

Fifteen teams took part, adopting a World Cup country for the afternoon and in the fun spirit of the day, playing their matches in full fancy dress. Alongside the main tournament, there was a tuck shop, BBQ, raffle, ice cream van, games and tug of war to keep the teams fed, watered and having fun in between matches.
Winners of the tournament were ‘We R Family’ representing South Africa, who were made up of family members from Caradon, Bodmin and Bude.
The afternoon event and raffle were the culmination of Caradon’s season-long fundraising for 10 charities in celebration of their 10th anniversary. The grand total raised from these 10 events was announced earlier this week as an incredible £9,000. This will be split between the good causes which include Children’s Hospice South West, Cornwall Blood Bikes, Macmillan, Ellie’s Haven, The British Heart Foundation, SportsAble, CHICKS, Teenage Cancer Trust, Cornwall Air Ambulance, and the RNLI.
