Match Report |
Caradon Men's 2's travelled to Bodmin to play their 2's for the first time this season. We were expecting a really tough match but it turned out to be a fairly routine match for Caradon. Bodmin were put under pressure from the first whistle and Caradon remained camped in the opposition half for about 80 percent of the game. The first half was tighter with only 2 goals being scored these by Mike Parkinson who was ice cool in the D and beat the keeper with ease and also from Martyn Bevins who flicked the ball home. During half time Caradon captain suggested that 8 goals would be an appropriate scoreline but sadly only 5 more were scored by Bevins, Jake Horton, Liam Champion, Tim Wright and a reverse stick stinger from Ben P-R that nearly connected with Ted Dyer. The final score of 7-1 was a pleasing result and showed the strength and depth of the Caradon team. Man of the match went to Ted Dyer for being consistently great and DotD went to Tom Turpin for overeagerness on a defensive short and falling flat on his face when trying to make up for his previous mistake. A brilliant result on the penultimate match of the season. 1 more win needed for 100% wins.
