Caradon won thier last league game of the season and clinch runners up spot after a fiesta match with ISCA.
A game both teams needed to win to secure second place was always going to be fiercely contested. Caradon had the majority of chances with Player of the match, Bizzie Jeffery hitting the post and shooting narrowly wide within 10 minutes. The deadlock was broken when Daisy Heal finished a superb move and she soon added a second after good build up play from Jeffery.
The game became scrappy with both teams finding to find thier normal flow of passing hockey. Cards were shown to both teams and ISCA found themselves back in the game with a deft finish at the near post.
Deep into the second half the visitors were awarded a penalty flick but the taker fluffed her lines and keeper Helen Delbridge made the simplest of saves.
Caradon had an excellent chance to increase the lead and take the pressure of but Abbie Ingram also felt the pressure and could not find the back board.
Caradon held on to the 2-1 win and claimed the much deserved runners up spot.
With a county cup run to still play for Caradon contest a QF against Bodmin on Saturday.
