Match Report | Caradon welcome Exeter University to lux park and played some fantastic hockey to win 5-1. The game was evenly poised at 2-1 when the half time whistle came but Caradon adapted their play at the start of the second half to avoid the congested midfield. Player of the match, Molly Walsh, turned defence into attack on numerous occasions and to top a brilliant performance smashed home a penalty corner for goal number 3. Jules Butterworth was orchestrating things in the middle of the pitch and set her wingers on the attack with some accurate passes to provide a good stretch to the game. Mullis scored her second of the game after combining well with the attacking wing back, Emma Gliddon. With the game now effectively won, Caradon played with even more freedom and the Exeter keeper had to make some great saves but she could do nothing when Jeffery scored from an audacious lob. |
