A great win for Caradon Men's 2's today in a rearranged fixture against Okehampton 2's. The final score was 3-0 to Caradon. All three goals came from Jon P-R and were straightforward tap ins which came about from excellent team play. The assists came from Sam and Ben P-R after amazingly well worked passes involving many of the side. Okehampton started brightly but heads quickly dropped when they went behind. I was so pleased with all of our team today, they all genuinely put in a huge amount of effort and were rewarded for this. We looked like a team today and richly deserved the win. By the narrowest of margins Sam P-R was voted motm for his work rate, tackling and darting runs down the wing, just fending off his brother Ben who caused the opposition all kinds of trouble and just missed adding a couple more goals to our tally. Jason Brown was exceptional in defence showing his quality and experience. Ted Dyer was given lots of space and used it well and then tackled like a legend. I can't say enough about the team today - proud to be part of it. Thanks to Glayne and Mark for umpiring today and keeping the game calm and thanks to Sharon for running the subs and her advice.
