Men's 1st XI Vs Devonport Services 1

Caradon Men's 1st XI showcased their resilience and determination as they secured an impressive 6-3 victory over second-placed Devonport Services at Lux Park this weekend. Despite a strong start from Devonport, Caradon weathered the storm and delivered the win. 

Devonport Services began the match on the front foot, pinning Caradon in their own half and limiting their attacking opportunities. However, as the game progressed, Caradon found their rhythm and started to apply pressure on the Plymouth team's defense. Captain Chris Fasey led by example, breaking the deadlock with a well-taken goal, before adding a second to his tally.

Not to be outdone, Devonport Services quickly responded, capitalising on a worked short corner and a breakaway goal to level the score. Undeterred, Caradon swiftly regained the lead, with Tyler Walsh getting on the end of a rebound to put his team ahead once again. The intensity of the game heightened, resulting in three players, two from Caradon and one from Devonport, receiving temporary suspensions as the halftime whistle blew.

The second half began with both teams back to full strength, and Caradon wasted no time in asserting their dominance. Harrison Pollard scored a sensational goal, taking down an aerial pass and finishing with precision to extend Caradon's lead to 4-2. Despite another goal from Devonport, Caradon remained composed and continued to dictate the tempo of the game.

Despite missing a penalty flick, Caradon managed to seal the victory with two more goals, courtesy of a Ben Reynolds deflection at the far post and a clinical drag flick from David Fasey. The final whistle blew with Caradon emerging triumphant with a well-deserved 6-3 victory.
