In a challenging encounter, Caradon's 4th team experienced a 4-0 defeat at the hands of 2nd in the league Bodmin squad. The away team swiftly capitalized on Caradon's seemingly unprepared defence, securing a 3-0 lead early in the first half.

The newly configured 4th team is in the midst of positive changes, integrating several juniors into the league and exploring different positions to solidify the best team lineup for the rest of the season. Despite the initial setbacks, there were notable moments of resilience and growth.

The first goal slipped through the legs of goalkeeper Fasey, followed by a bumpy deflection and an obstructed view of the goal, resulting in Bodmin extending their lead. Caradon regrouped, and Emily Aldridge showcased her developing skills as a defender, displaying strength and calm control with the ball.

With some regular players unavailable due to injuries and positional experimentation ongoing, the team demonstrated adaptability and elasticity in keeping their structure intact. Amy White and Emma Hedley, in particular, showcased their versatility and stamina while taking on new responsibilities mid-match.

Adjustments and strong team communication from Lauren Gerry led to an improved performance in the second half. Lucy Johnson, Teigan Bindon, Evelyn Moxham, and Gerry in the middle displayed cohesive team hockey, keeping the ball away from Caradon's defence. Olivia Sanders and Amy White made excellent runs, challenging the Bodmin goalie and disrupting the opposition's defensive plans.
