Match Report |
More teamwork with pitch captain Lauren Gerry, charging through Falmouth's defence to connect with Amy White, who sent the ball thumping into the backboard for the second goal. Although young star striker Amy White nearly secured a third goal, the umpire's whistle just pipped the ball to the goal. The team incorporated more strategic gameplay, utilizing the pitch effectively with Hazel Ashman, Debs Johns, and Rachel Quick anchored Caradon defence, with newcomer Imogen Rowe making a stellar debut, saving a penalty corner strike on the post line. Despite breakthrough runs from the away team resulting in one-on-one opportunities, Keeper Josie Fasey showcased quick feet and kept a clean Caradon goal. Special recognition goes to Player of the Match Emily Eldridge, transitioning from defender to a potent position up on the right for the 4s. Her excellent runs paved the way for goal-scoring opportunities. The weather played its part in creating an excellent atmosphere, and the club day drew substantial spectator support. Caradon 4s celebrated not just a win but a demonstration of teamwork, versatility, and promising new talent. |
