Match Report

On this brisk November morning, Caradon's 4th team clinched a  2-1 win against Penzance 3rd team, though the gameplay suggested a more dominant performance by the home team, warranting a 2-0 scoreline due to an unfortunate own goal.

The scoring action unfolded with a solid short corner strike from Pippa Hedley, capitalizing on a series of short corners. Team Hedley secured another goal with Emma Hedley's impressive right-wing drive, involving a bit of defender pinball and a nutmeg finish that eluded the goalie, who had made numerous commendable saves throughout the game.

Thanks to umpires Jan Woodman and Katie Fear, who controlled the match well, issuing green cards to both teams to promote safe play. The emergence of our juniors was notable, with Jessie Eldridge and Emily Eldridge showcasing a promising future for Caradon's defence. Issy Carnell and Liv Sanders with their speed on the wings, adeptly created valuable game space.

Amy White spearheaded runs into the D, marking her as a potential future top goal scorer. The team's collective efforts resulted in some fantastic hockey and strong team play.

As the chill of November enveloped the pitch, Caradon 4s demonstrated not only their current strength but also the promising potential of their rising stars. Keep up the excellent work, ladies, and continue to shine on the field!
