Caradon travelled to bath to play Bath Bucs 2nd team and were unlucky not to come home with atleast a point.
Caradon took the game by the scruff of the neck from the first minute, with quick passes and good movement off the ball Bath were left chasing play. Player of the match Libby Walsh was finding good space in the center of the pitch and her great vision led to the play being switched from left to right and chances on goal created.
Daisy Heal was drawing defenders to her as her superb stick skills left them to foul in a last ditch attempt to prevent an attack into the circle.
Bath were first to find the backboard when a move down the right fell nicely to thier high fired who fished clinically.
Caradon remained positive and has soon levelled the score when Heal powered home from a tight angle.
At half time and with the game nicely poised Caradon knew they had to keep up their work rate and every player gave thier all and remained focused on their individual jobs. Julia Eldridge and Lucy Kay were managing the midfield well and thier breaking down off play led to numerous chances on goal for Caradon, peppering the Baths GK with shots from open play.
Against the run of play Bath took the lead when a wishful strike on goal deflected off a defenders stick into the roof of the net.
Caradon continued to push forward and wingers Abbie Ingram and Beth Harris both had great attacking runs toward the opposition circle.
With the game drawing to a close Bath scored a soft go to leave the scoreline flattering but Caradon can be proud of their improving performance and should give them belief that they can compete at this level and that the points they crave for will come.
