Match Report |
Caradon Men's 2's hosted a very strong Truro 4's team. At the end of the day Truro deserved the win. They were well drilled and passed the ball around superbly. Sadly the scoreline flattered them slightly. Caradon played well, getting to know new team mates and trying out new onfield structure. Some excellent performances from several players with Martyn Bevins threatening the oposition goal on several occasions, his goal coming from a well worked move involving fast accurate passing from several players presenting Bevins with a one on one before slotting the ball home - the whole move reminding us all how selfless play and strong passes can make it all look so easy. Caradon welcomed Jason Brown into the team, who showed us his class on many occasions. However, the standout player for Caradon was Joel Tamblyn who played in goal and pulled off some dramatic combination saves and kept the scoreline to a modest 4 goals rather than considerably more - in so doing he earned himself player of the match. Caradon missed svereal other opportunities which would have made the game far tighter - but were by no means disgraced and showed a huge number of positives to carry forward into the next games. Final score 4-1to a sporting and strong Truro side
