Match Report |
Yeovil were the visitors to lux park this week and despite thier long journey, left with nothing.
Caradon were out of the traps quickly and keen to stamp thier authority on the game. Within 10 minutes Clare Mitchell grabbed the first goal of the game after Yeovil failed to deal with an ariel ball in to the circle. Caradon worked tirelessly off the ball to regain possession and debutant Laura Hill was rewarded after she stole the ball off the center back and beat the keeper to make it 2-0. Top goal scorer, Bizzie Dinnis was next on the score sheet with a trade mark finish after a Hill through ball.
Caradons Libby Walsh was in exceptional form and created the fourth. After breaking down play and attacking run she found Dinnis who clinically despatched the ball to the bottom left of the goal.
Yeovil managed a consolation goal but with Caradons defence playing as a complete unit and calm under pressure there was few real attempts at goal.
Captain Clare Poad scored from a penalty corner with a powerful strike and Hill completed the scoring when scoring from a good assist by Poad.
Caradon continue to grow in confidence and show good game management as well as the raw talent they have in the team. They will need to show both of these attributes when they face title contenders, ISCA, at Exeter University next week.
