Caradon Men’s Seconds played their first cup game today against CSoM a team who are a league above us. The team started really positively denying them chances whilst giving us some of our own. During an early chance Sam P-R’s ankle gave out taking him off the pitch for the rest of the game. After some clearly well drilled manoeuvres CSoM managed to get through our defence getting a lucky goal. Straight after the restart they managed to get another. Spirits were not dampened and we managed to get a few chances just before half time. Despite amazing goalkeeping by George Rowe (earning him man of the match) CSoM managed to slot in three more. In true Caradon fashion we persevered and managed to create more chances in the second half. A brilliant all round performance from the team clearly showing that our presses that we have been working on in training are beginning to pay off. Thanks to George and Thomas Rowe for helping us out this weekend and big thanks to Glen Young for stepping in as Captain.
