Match Report | Caradon travelled to Bridgewater and came home with an 8-1 win and more importantly the three points. As the first half continued, Caradon began to pressurise the homes defence. The keeper was having a great game, making numerous eye catching saves. Despite being frustrated in being unable to break the deadlock, the visitors stayed positive and patient. Libby Walsh was seeing more of the ball and it was her who set top goal scorer, Bizzie Dinnis, free and her follow up shot found the net. The half time talk was about continuing the positive play and up the desire to win the ball back. Within minutes of the second half Dinnis had grabbed her second and the Bridgewater heads viasably dropped. Caradon tails were now up and they pushed forward with pace and power. Lucie Kay had a player of the match performance in the center of the pitch, breaking down play and switching play. Bridgewater scored a late consolation goal to prevent the clean sheet but defensively Caradon were sound and a lucky strike was all that really threatened Helen Dellbridge's goal. |
