Match Report | Caradon Mens 1s hosted Ashmoor 2s at Lux Park. The game started well with the lion share of Possession belonging to Caradon.
It wasn’t too long before the Cornish team made good on their chances. Chris Fasey gathering up a weighted ball from man of the match, Finn Andrew’s, slotting it past the advancing goal keeper. Caradon continued to heap on the pressure and put them selves further ahead with a second Fasey goal from a Angus Harley aerial. 15 minutes in and the result was going Caradon’s way, however a deflected short corner off Neil Spencer’s leg put Ashmoor on the score board just before half time.
The second half saw Caradon unable to continue the hockey they were playing in the first half. A 20 minute stale mate continued Caradon probably having the better of the chances but denied by some handy goal keeping. With 10 minutes left a on the clock Ashmoor worked a second goal and with 5 minutes to go a bit of individual skill saw them take the lead.
A disappointing result in a game that should have been put to bed in the first half saw Caradon lose their cool and the game 3-2. |
