A very disappointing match for the Men’s 2’s today. Losing 3-1to a team that we could have and should have beaten was hard to take, along with the fact that this was our first loss of the season. Falmouth took their opportunities well and scored 2 from short corners and one well struck shot after a great passing move. We put them under lots of pressure and secured several shorts but were unable to convert them. We had much of the play in the first half and Mike Parkinson smashed in a belter from top D. After this our opportunities were few and far between, with the team just struggling to gel. On paper we were better but the reality was different. There were some moments of excellent play with Drew, Ted, Ben Reynolds and Liam demonstarting fabulous skill. We certainly have the players and talent for the rest of the season but need to re-set and and move forward once more.
