Womens 4th XI Vs Duchy 2

The first league fixture of the 2022/23 season for Caradon Ladies 4s, Pushed back at 9.45am on Saturday 1st October, at Lux Park. Their opposition being Duchy ladies 2nd team. Duchy won the toss and opted for first pushback. The game started well, with Caradon having the majority of possession in Duchys half. The first goal from open play, came after 12 minutes for Ruby Wilton, who pushed the ball past the Duchy goal keeper into the net. The second came 2 minutes later from Amy White, playing her first adult league match, tapping the ball in from a cross on the left post. Caradon continued to strive for goals but couldn't get anymore past the Duchy keeper but then Duchy couldn't get any goals past Caradon Keeper Josie Dudley, playing her first Caradon 4s season as Keeper, making some great saves to keep the clean sheet. Some lovely teamwork out on the pitch, with another league Debutante Lila Johns, proving her worth in Midfield. A good start to the season and hopefully one, they can continue.
