Men's 1st XI Vs Ashmoor 2

Caradon Mens 1st XI hosted Ashmoor 2nds on Saturday. After last week’s disappointing result Caradon were not in the most optimistic mood prior to the game, however true to form they went on the attack from the first whistle. 

Caradon’s aggression paid off fairly early, the ball bouncing out of right back into the middle of the pitch, back out to the right wing where a cross goal pass was bundled over the line at the far post by Thomas Rowe. The lead didn’t last long, Ashmoor scored with in minutes to leave the game. 

The rest of the half both teams traded blows, Caradon with the beat of the chances but unable to convert. The second half continued in a similar fashion. 

The game fell Caradon’s way in the last 20 minutes, a turn over ball saw the ball end up with man of the match Evan Spencer, who calmly reversed the ball into the bottom left corner. Caradon did not rest on their slim lead, continuing to press the won a short corner which Captain Chris Fasey slotted in the bottom corner away from the keeper. 

3-1 up and the game started to boil over, both teams had players sent to the sin bin. Caradon took the chance to collect them selves and secure the win with 10 minutes to go they soaked up the pressure and managed the remaining game to the final whistle.
