Match Report

Caradon travelled to Tavistock and came out worthy 5-1 winners. The game did not start toplan when Tavistock took an early lead within 4 minutes. With the bouncy dry pitch proving hard to get used to Caradons usual pacing game looked unsure as players were playing on the back foot to aid their first touch.
Gradually Caradon began to control phases of play and win some penalty corners. A perfect injection from Molly Walsh left Clare Poad with space to find the backboard from a straight strike. Just before half time, Bizzie Dinnis scored her first of the day from another penalty corner.
The team talk was focused on what the team could do better and they implemented this immediately. Now having almost all the play, Caradon pushed forward at pace and broke through the Tavistock press. Dinnis scored from open play after a great team move and Ellen Spencer capitalised on a defensive mix up to make it 4-1.
Player of the match, Amy Batty, was in complete control at the back and gave the home team nowhere to go as well as switching play effortlessly.

Dinnis completed her hat trick to flatter the scoreline but there was no doubt Caradon were deserved winners and now look forward to a home fixture against local rivals, Plymouth Marjons, on Saturday at Lux Park.
