| Match Report | We welcomed Bodmin 1s today to play them in our first league game in 2022. Unfortunately due to covid we were down to 11 players meaning no subs for us. With a couple of players on the team also with injuries and others not as fit as we hoped, we knew it was going to be a very touch game. We managed to bag ourself a short corner not long into the game which was exectued lovely by Jaynes danger strike from top D. We thought we could certainly be in with a chance. Unfortunately, bodmin had subs, meaning fresh legs throughout the game, so it wasnt long before they equalized. We fought hard, but they managed to get another goal in the back of the net, and then another. Bodmins final and 4th goal was a cracker! Beautifully passed into the 'D' before being deflected over the top of our goalkeeper and into the top right corner... by our own defender, Sharon. Own goal! |
