| Match Report | Three points nicely secured for the Ladies 3’s after a superb 5-0 win against Penzance 2’s.
With lots of effort and energy from midfield juniors Jess Berry and Karenza Bunt. Also, great to have the support of Nic Dymond and Carina Hodge on Saturday who added strength and experience against the sea of blue shirts!
Fair to say at times 3’s made it a little harder than necessary, forgetting the simple one two passes, but team talk from Sharon Jeffery and coach Clare Poad at half time soon helped solve that!
Charlotte Reed picked up POM not only for acing a hatrick, in fact nearly four goals with an impressive reverse stick strike which was sadly disallowed. But because, well she was just on fire!
3’s held most of the games possession but the well balanced opposition had a fair amount of counteracting attacks.
Jayne Longrigg picked up the remaining two goals with an assist from Sharon Jeffery on the final short corner, minutes before the final whistle.
Sitting currently sixth in the league, 3’s will take their driving momentum to Lipson pitch next week as they face Plym Uni 2’s |
