Match Report |
Caradon welcomed an undefeated Devonport team to Lux park on Saturday and put in a superb performance to win 5-0.
Staright from the first whistle Caradon went on the attack and the first of the days goals was scored by Clare Mitchell who swept in after good build up play from Bizzie Dinnis. The combination play between the two forwards led to the second goal soon after. Dinnis unselfishly slipped to Mitchell to score from close range.
Caradons midfield we're enjoying lots of space,Libby Walsh and Saffy Cripps both creating attacking phases of play and winning numerous penalty corners. A strike from Dinnis at the top of the circle was brilliantly deflected into the net by Amy Batty to make the score line 3-0.
Devonport we're shell shocked and struggled to come to terms with the pacey Caradon attack and the home team went into half time in complete control.
With a slight reshuffle at the break, Caradon looked to control the game. Beth Harris was in usual top form and was the catalyst for almost every phase of play. Daisy Hunn calmly went about her business and linked well with the eager midfielders.
Emma Gliddon and Ellen Spencer worked their wing play with confidence and Dinnis was finally rewarded with a goal of her own. Claire Mitchell capped a player of the match performance when she completed her hat trick after good build up play.
Caradon travel to Camborne School of mines next week looking to continue their good form.
