Women's 3rd XI Vs Duchy 1

Today the ladies 3s travelled to Pool Academy to play against Duchy 1st team. As we are a team who has recently been promoted from Trelawney 2s, and Duchy a team who have recently been demoted from the league above, we knew that it was going to be a tough game. 

From the start whistle, Duchy were on it. They took the lead with in the first minute. They played some amazing hockey while we tok a back seat and let them run around us. As the game went on, things got a little heated, but we began to find out feet and pick up the pace. By the end of the first half they were winning 7-0. 

In the second half, we came out stronger. More prepared. We found ourselves and managed to play as a team. One of our youngest players, Kerenza Bunt, took control of our right wing and made some beautiful runs and passes into our D. Unfortunately we never managed to find the back of the net, but another of our youthful players - Charlotte - took contol in Defense - bagging herself man of the match - and played a massive part in stopping Duchys run and only allowing one in the goal in the second half.

The final whistle blew. 8-0 to Duchy.
