| Match Report | The ladies 3s set off to play Newquay 2s for the second weekend in a row. This time it was a cup match. Having won 3-1 last week we had the added pressure of not allowing them to defeat us this time. We set up strong awaiting the starting whistle, ready and raring to go. With the high winds still making an appearance after Eunices deput the day before, it was not ideal conditions. However that didnt stop us. It wasn't long before we had won a short corner and with Amber Jeffreys stunning top D strike hitting the back of the net we were 1-0 up. Most of the possesion was ours, but with some lovely break throughs from Newquay, our defense were on their toes. With some beautiful saves from our incredible goal keeper Emily, we were still in the lead. Another short corner came, again to us, and again beautifully excecuted, this time by Abi Larigo. As time went on and we began to tire, Newquay got one back. We knew we had to stay strong and keep playing our best to prevent them getting another. The final whistle blew ending the game a 2-1 win to Caradon. |
