Men's 1st XI Vs Dart 1

Caradon Mens 1st XI played bottom of the table Dart 1s at the weekend. With current form the result should have been obvious, but as usual Caradon didn’t make it easy on themselves, a poor warm up put the Cornish team on the back foot from the get go with Dart looking the more likely to score. 

Weathering the early stages of the game Caradon started to get going, finding space around the Dart 25 and inside the D. Eventually Caradon took the lead after Chris Fasey deflected a Neil Spencer shot past the keeper. Dart continued to hustle but a goal slammed home from man of the match Leon Farrow took the visitors 2 goals clear and with Chris picking up a rebound from Finn Andrew’s reverse effort Caradon were 3-0 and Dart’s collective head dropped. 

Before the end of the first half Neil Spencer would pick up a back post tap in after a well work transfer found space on the wing and Chris got his third robbing the ball off the keepers pads and hitting the side netting. 

Going into the second half Caradon were 5-0 up but somehow struggling to get out of third gear, despite that David Fasey found the gap between the keepers legs from a short, Harrison Pollard finished off a loose ball across the face of goal, David got a second from a Leon pass and Chris deflection into his path and Thomas Rowe made sure a reverse flick found the back board. 

9-0 up Dart took an opportunity to creep onto the score board, a floppy short corner strike found the gap between keeper and man on the post with not long left in the game it fell to Chris Fasey to finish the scoring with a top of the D reverse strike, putting Caradon into double figures winning the fixture 10-1. 

Next week is the last game before Christmas, playing at Lux Park against PGSOB 2s.
