Women's 3rd XI Vs Caradon 2s

Plate final Day and an all Caradon battle with the Ladies 3s meeting the Ladies 2's, It was always going to be a competitve match with alot of reputation at stake.. . The Ladies 3s came out with a battle plan to take the game to the 2s , tackle hard, close them down and not give them any time on the ball.. Holding the 2s at bay until just before half time when a cheeky slip through by Laura Hill saw Nessa slip the ball past a diving goal keeper. 1 - 0 to the 2s - the battle was on, belief in the 3s that they could pull this back was on all the faces and the battle commensed. 1 - 0 at half time.. 

Second half started in a spirited fashion with some fiesty play between Kirsty Merrin and Rachel Spencer, showing the determination by both sides to keep this plate final alive. Another 2 goals for the Ladies 2s in the 2nd half following some great defending by Emma Glidden, Nicola Batten, Amber Jeffry, Sharon Jeffry and Shelley Locket a special mention goes to Emily Joyce who made some fantastic saves to keep the Ladies 2s at 3 - 0 at the end of the match - worthy winners on the day. Well done Ladies 3s you kept your heads up and continued to fight to the end - no one likes to loose and we move on to the league in a few weeks where I am sure we will want to reduce the 3 - 0  score line.
