Caradon A start last season with a visit to eventual Champions and it would come as little surprise if OPM's do not make a quick return to Southern 2 as Champions having been unfortunate to be relegated last season after finishing 3rd despite a strong finish to last season. Throughout the first half OPM were just that little bit quicker and street smart as they continually put Caradon defence under pressure. After 15 minutes the goal finally came in slightly unlucky fashion as a shot through a crowded D was going wide only to deflect off a foot into the back of the net. OPM soon added another couple and but for the heroics of George Rowe in goal they could have been 6 to the good by half time. In the second half Caradon improved considerable and with some better finishing could have got a couple of goals back but as the game entered the last 15 minutes OPMs put the game beyond doubt with another quick fire double but Caradon continued to battle on to loose only 5-0 will in a couple of months come to look like a good effort as this OPM side will undoubtedly put many sides in this Division to the sword. Next week we have the chance to gain a bit of revenge as we host OPM A team at home.
