Match Report | Caradon started thier league campaign with a dominant performance against Plymouth Marjons and claimed all three points with a 2-0 win. The game started with the cornish team showing a great team attitude. Keeping thier shape well and attacking as a unit. Chances were being made and if it had not been for some great saves by the Plymouth keeper the deadlock would have been broken before the half time break. As Caradon puhed forward, frustration at not finding the first goal led to Caradon being down to 10 players but this only led to more space being found by the midfielders. Player of the match, Charlie Harris, was instrumental in keeping the pressure on and dragging defenders out of position. Bizzie Dinnis made the most of this space and after beating 3 players, fired the ball into the roof of the net. With the deadlock now broken, Caradon began to play with more confidance. Liv Childs and Saffie Cripps were combining well on the right and Plymouth struggled to get into thier attacking half. Fleur Worden, playing at right back, was even given space to weave her magic into the circle which ended in a reverse strike on goal. The game was made safe after Dinnis was crudely taken down in the circle. A penalty stroke was awarded and a technically perfect stroke was dispatched by the in form striker. Caradon look forward to welcoming Devonport Services to Lux Park this week to continue the league south campaign. |
