Match Report

Caradon were well beaten by a very strong Truro side in this midweek re-arranged fixture under floodlights.  Caradon had an early opportunity that was pushed just wide but from that point on it was Truro that were the stronger side and they were quickly into their goal scoring stride and despite George Rowe having a good game in goal Caradon struggled to cope with the standard shown by Truro particularly inside the D as they demonstrated a clinical edge.  A 5-0 half time score looked ominous for Caradon but a few adjustments seemed to have the desired effect and Caradon were quickly on the board in the second half as Ben Reynolds rounded off a good team move to score.  Truro hit back with two more goals and could have had a couple more but for more excellent work in goal from George Rowe which resulted in him being given the man of the match award.  Caradon didn't give up and were further rewarded with the last goal of the game again from Ben Reynolds, although this one was a far more scrappy affair as the ball did a bit of ping ponging around the D until he was able to poke home.  Truro finished worthy winners as they continue their push for promotion and with that team I suspect they will do well in Southern 2 next season.
