Caradon 2s met Truro again this weekend for their quarter final plate clash. A goal within the first minute of the game from Ellen Spencer looked like the 2s were going to carry on where they left off last week with a convincing win, but Truro had other ideas and showed us they had read our game and weren’t going to let us get away that easily. The first half was dominated by Truro and the 2s did well to be 2-0 up at half time after thir famous ‘Cat Flap’ move from a short corner, saw Rach Luiten convert the second goal. The 2s captain Zoe’s half time team talk seemed to do the trick and the 2s showed Truro in the 2nd half what they were made of. More passing play and a sensational hat trick from Star of the match Saffy Cripps gave us a 5-0 win taking us through to the semis. Oh deer went to Abi Larigo who kindly stepped up from the 3s again, along with Kirsty Merrin who made her debut in the 2s, so a massive thank you to them both. Next up is an away league game against Plym Valley 2s that could see the 2s go third in Trelawney 1 if they are victorious.
