Match Report

Caradon 3's dominated play with style and momentum picking up a 4-1 win against Launceston.  Caradon made use of space and played each pass with accuracy. Launceston however closed them down meaning caradon had to think fast. A pass to Kirsty Merrin seen her tactfully put the ball right through the keepers legs. The second goal was instigated by right back player Shelley Lockett who ran the wing and sent the perfect cross ball into the D where Neve Hunn added the final touch.

Launceston came back attacking and challenged debut keeper Sarah Gliddon who stepped out and kicked the ball out of danger. A dangerous tackle seen Caradon awarded a flick in the first half which Launceston's experienced keeper blocked with ease.  Launceston mid players made a break and worked the ball around yellow shirts to find their first goal.

A short corner seen a strong and accurate straight strike from Neve Hunn ending the first half 3-1. The enthusiasm and possession continued for Caradon in the second half, but they struggled to get past the keeper.  Amber Jeffery stepped up to a short corner challenge and slammed in the fourth and final goal with style.  Caradon mid players did not tire -Abi Larigo, Izzy Hedley, Pippa Hedley and player of the match Libby Walsh held great shape.

A great demonstration of team work from both sides, good luck to Caradon 3's who are looking likely for promotion next season.
