Women's 3rd XI Vs St Austell

The mighty Caradon 3s travelled to St Austell on Saturday, taking in the sites along the way, after a long walk to the pitch the game got under way. Following a week off for Caradon the game started with both sides attacking and counter attacking but a good attack from a break let St.Austell slip a cheeky goal past the Caradon keeper. 

The pressure continued and Caradon started to settle into their game and keep the possession but St.Austell started to make a few breaks which resulted in another goal 2 -0. It was not until the 31st minute that the pressure form Caradon resulted in a well worked short corner penalty and then struck into the bottom corner by Player of the Match Libby Walsh.  First half ended 2 - 1

The second half commenced with Caradon attacking hard and a good combination of passes and possession resulted in a some great play but the shots and short corners just did not convert into a goal instead St.Austell managed to find the back of the net 3 - 1. Lady luck was not on Caradon side. 

Another short corner saw Caradon pull another goal back by Jayne Longrigg and the game ended with a disappointing 3 - 2. The fight for top spot is still open.
