Match Report | Caradon ladies 3’s held most of the pocession against Duchy 2’s with their mid players working hard in the heat to ensure it was an attacking game. There was lots of action in the D but Duchy’s goalie was clearly skilful under pressure as she stopped numerous shots on goal. Caradon played simple but affective hockey with some nice one two passes allowing the ball to travel up the pitch. The team created good space and rolled out to find their pivot player using the back option rather than running into danger. Duchy made some good drives but Caradon’s strong back line soon stopped them in their tracks. Right back player Shelley Lockett was awarded Player of the Match after good pace and strength driving the ball up the wing. Two craxking goals came from both mid players Abi Larigo and Libby Walsh. Let’s hope the enthusiasm and momentum continues for next weeks game away to Plymouth Uni 2’s. |
