Women's 3rd XI Vs Caradon 4

First game of the league kicked off with Caradon ladies 3’s face their team mates Caradon 4’s. Not an easy battle following summer tournaments and training sessions together but this aside both teams embraced the challenge. 

Fair to say 4’s game out all guns blazing and dominated play for the first ten minutes. The 3’s nerves were settled after two early goals from Emma Gliddon and Player of the Match Lauren Gerry. Both teams displayed some strong attacking hockey in front of a lively bunch of homes supporters. 

3’s picked up pace and confidence and continued to score a further 7 goals. With a second from both Emma Gliddon and Lauren Gerry, Jayne Longrigg (2) Vanessa Scott, Neve Hunn and finally Katie Fear. 

Minutes until the final whistle 4’s took full advantage of a short corner opportunity with a perfectly popped goal from Izzy Hedley. The game may have finished 9-1 to the 3’s but the work rate and strength of 4’s team is to be commended.
