Match Report | After a couple of great results, the 2s were looking to build on those recent performances. Caradon conceded early in the match for the second time this season at home. OPMs travelling with the bare eleven continued to hit Caradon on the counter attack and were rewarded again with two more goals before half time. Caradon believed they could get back into the game and continued to press, and were rewarded with several short corners, which unfortunately came to nothing. Caradon were caught out again on the counter attack and OPMs made no mistake in converting their chances. With the final score ending in a 5-0 loss, Caradon shouldn’t be too disheartened as there were some strong performances, especially from the younger players. A special mention must go to Player of the Match Libby Walsh who was also nominated by the other team along with Erryn Lockett as their Players of the Match. Caradon will put this defeat behind them and look forward to the visit of Duchy next week in the group stages of the county cup. |
