Match Report | It was a great start to 2020 for the Ladies 2s with a 3-0 win awaybat Camborne SOM 2s. With several players missing, Abi Larigo stepped up from the 3s to play in defence and had a great game. Caradon were in full control of the game, creating chance after chance, eventually earning their first short corner. From this corner came Caradons first goal. A fantastic first time strike from Ellen Spencer hit the backboard at pace to make it 1-0. The second half followed the same pattern as the first and the second goal followed shortly which came from a new move devised by the youngsters in the warm up. The move known as the ‘Cat-flap’ has only been practised a couple of times and was implemented on the pitch to perfection for Caradons second goal and Vanessa Scott’s first of the game. It wasn’t long before Scott got on the score sheet again to make it 3-0. This win means that that the 2s will now go into the QF of the County Plate which will be played in a couple of weeks. The next match sees the 2s visiting second placed Marjons tomorrow, which will be a tough game! |
