Match Report | Caradon 2s welcomed the visit of Duchy at the weekend in their first group game in the County Cup. After a below par performance the week before, Caradon were relishing the opportunity to make amends and were looking forward to playing against a team from a higher division. With a change of positions for a couple of players, Rach Luiten resumed the role she played last season as sweeper. Caradon showed that they are capable of playing some very good flowing hockey and were unlucky to go into the break 1-0 down. They continued their pressure in the second half and again were unlucky not to level the scores, but unfortunately Duchy went on to score again in the second half with a fortunate deflection that was just to high for keeper Zoe Harris to get to. The overall team performance was oustanding and Luiten quite righly scooped the Player of the Match award. Caradon will visit Plym Valley 2s on Saturday, hoping to add the their two wins already achieved this season in Trelawney 1.
