Match Report | This was Caradons closest game yet and one they came tantalisingly close to winning but was snatched away in the last 3 minutes of the game. Both teams started well, Torbay made their intentions and tactics clear early in the game with a long ball chased down by their young forwards. This ball was cleared without issue by the home keeper. This began a long protracted spell of play by Caradon harassing the Torbay defence but no matter how they tried they just couldn't find the goal. The second half continued in much the same way with the home team playing some of their best hockey, moving the ball through the mid field with ease. However they were still unable to get the ball in the net. The closer the game got to the final whistle the more desperate both teams got. Torbay did manage to get lucky when against the run of play, a long ball found its target and the youngster was able to touch the ball under the diving Caradon keeper and into the goal. The final whistle two minutes later disappointing the home team after such a close game. Each game gives Caradons 3rds something to work on and each week they seem to improve as they continue to search for their first win. |
