Match Report

Caradon continued thier winning start to the season with a convincing 4-0 win over Tavistock at Lux Park.

It didnt take long for the deadlock to be broken when after an accurate injection by Amy Batty at the first penalty corner awarded, was powered home by Clare Poad.

Caradon kept good possesion but struggled to find the second goal until late in the first half when a Poads' strike was well saved and Sadie Mullis was on hand to get the ball over the line.

The emphasis at the half time talk was about improving the quality of passing and midfielders Carrina Hodge, Katie Jones and player of the match, Charlie Harris were all making good decisions. Play was being switched from side to side with Mullis winning numerous penalty corners with her attacking runs on the right.

Last years top goal score, Bizzie Dinnis, eventually got her name on the score sheet after finishing a good move down the left and then scored her second of the day after rounding the keeper and making the score 4-0 with the final play of the match.

Caradon were pleased with another three points against an unpredictable side. A clean sheet was an added bonus for this team who look to continue thier good form when they take on league newcomers, Plym Valley, at Lipson next weekend.
