After a very even first half Caradon were very much second best as OPMs added 5 unanswered goals in the second half to complete the double over Caradon. This young Caradon team should take heart from the fact that only the top 3 teams have completed the double over Caradon in their first season following promotion. OPMs were ahead in the first minute as a shot from the side line took a wicked deflection off George Rowe in goal to find the back of the net. Caradon hit back quickly as Jake Andrews easily slid the ball past the keeper when one on one. OPM regained the lead soon aft only for Jake Andrews to pick up his second goal following a bit of a scramble in the D. It looked like both sides would go into the break all square only for OPM grab a third when a free hit just outside the 23 was fired into the D and a forward was on hand to deflect the ball home. If Caradon were to get back into the game they would need to start the second half strongly only for OPM to add a forth as George Rowe was unable to get enough stick on an initial shot which allow the OPM forward to follow up and tap in. There after it was virtually one way traffic as OPM added two penalty flicks and if it wasn't for a couple of smart saves by George Rowe and a defender deflecting a short corner around the post the visitors could have made it into double figures. Next weekend sees Caradon wrap up their league season with a visit to Truro in the knowledge that a win should see them finish in 7th place and maybe even 6th.
