Match Report

This local derby was a tight affair with honours shared as Bodmin snatched an equaliser with 2 minutes remaining.  Bodmin made a strong start and went ahead through a well taken short corner that was drag flcked into the top left hand corner.  Caradon then hit back with 3 goals in 10 minutes.  Ben Reynold strick from the top of the D just had enough to evade all the players in front of him and get over the line.  The second was a well worked goal with David Lockett finding his path to goal blocked by the keeper so reverse stick passed the ball across to Reynolds again to slot into a virtually empty goal.  The same combination added the 3rd as Lockett fired the ball across from the base line and although it hit a defenders foot a lifted up in front of the goal a good advantage was played and Reynolds was at hand to tap the ball over the line for his hat trick.  Bodmin hit back early in the second half and after that the game became more open with both sides spurning opportunities to score.  Then with a couple of minutes remaining Bodmin broke down the left and Caradon were unable to clear their lines allowing a Bodmin forward the opportunity to shoot and although George Rowe was quickly off his line the shot squeezed between his leg and across the line for the equaliser.  Ben Reynolds was rightly voted man of the match for his hat trick and although disappointed not to see the game out the point gained does keep Caradon 3 points clear of the relegation zone.  Next up is a return to Plymouth to play OPM A.
