Caradon were up against a youthful Marjon's team that had plenty of pace and skill upfront and after an electric start in which Caradon struggled to get out of their own half they were sound 1-0 ahead. Further opportunities came and went and it was only after 20 minutes that Caradon started to grow into the game. There best opportunities came on the counter attack and after 25 minutes Caradon produced their best move of the season to draw level. Breaking up a Marjon attack the ball was worked left and then quickly down the line to Paul Hunt. He beat the only remaining defender and on entering the D drew the keeper and slipped the ball to Jack Rowe for the easiest of tap ins. Marjons almost regained the lead although the whistle had blown for a short corner before the ball was put into the goal although a defender had a chance to stop the shot but stopped when the whislte went. Having been up against it for much of the first half the second half was more evenly contested with both teams spurning guilt edge chances. Jake Andrews went closest for Caradon when he deflected a hard hit cross into the D just wide of the post. Both teams had half a dozen short corners and although only Caradon were able to get shots away none of them were particularlt threatening. The final score of 1-1 was a well earned result that keep Caradon clear of the relegation places. Next week Caradon stay on the road with a tough trip to Plymouth University A.
