Match Report |
In high winds and heavy showers Caradon A were blown away by a strong Truro C team that sits onto of the Division. Even with the wind behind them Caradon were unable to stop the Truro onslaught in the first 20 minutes as they scored 3 goals from their first 4 shots on goal with the 4th being cleared off the line by a defender. In the last 10 minutes of the half Caradon did at least start to compete and this carried on into the second half when they deservedly got a goal back. Following a shot on goal by Matt James that was stopped on the line by a foot, Jake Andrews stepped up and dispatched the penalty flick inside the bottom left hand post. Caradon pushed for a second and for the next 20 minutes were the better side but could craft an guilt edge chance. As the push became more desperate Truro were able to break with pace and with 5 minutes their fourth goal put the game out of reach. Next week sees the Second team take the short trip to Plymouth to play Marjon 5th team in the hope that the rain at least holds off.
