Caradon failed to hit top gear in this game against mid table Torbay and were quickly behind through a penalty flick that was awarded when the defender stopped the shot on the line with his leg. Caradon did immediately hit back when their first short corner was converted by Captain David Lockett but Torbay were soon back in front when a Torbay forward was given too much space in the D and was able to flick the ball past George Rowe in goal. In the second half Caradon created some early chances that they were unable to put away and Torbay extended their lead as a cross was deflected into the goal by there young forward although he seemed unaware of exactly where the ball had gone. Caradon pressed to get back into the game and got a second goal which was a repeat of their first but there was no time left to press for an equaliser. Mike Parkinson was voted man of the match for his work rate all over the field. Next week sees a return trip to totnes to take on Dart second team.
