Match Report | Caradon hosted Exeter and Culm Vale Hornets at Lux park this Saturday. Coming off the back of 4 wins Caradon started with confidence, pressing forward from the get go, however ECV turned the ball over and with a quick ball out found their forwards 2-1 against a stranded Dan Harris. The away team slowed the pace of the game as Caradon chased down their lead.
After sustaining wave after wave of attack the Exeter team’s defence finally fell to to a well worked attack with the ball finally being put in the goal by Simon Roberts. Caradon smelt blood and intensified their efforts in attack, David Fasey netting the ball from a woodwork rebound put Caradon ahead for the first time
The half time whistle gave Caradon a chance to settle themselves and with a couple of tactical changes they headed back out to the pitch. Securing possession of the ball Caradon made the game difficult for ECV. Picking their moments Caradon forced the issue, the result was another goal for David from the penalty spot, two more for Simon and a back post finish for Will Turpin.
Caradon finished winning the game 6-1, staying top of the league with 5 wins from 5 games. |
